THE STUDIO / OUR PURPOSE
Stories shape us. We can learn to examine them.
LAST OF A DYNG SEED is a narrative education studio connecting film, storytelling, and lived experience to reflection and personal transformation.
OUR MISSION
Make narrative
awareness accessible.
Help people recognize the stories influencing what they believe, how they act, and what they imagine is possible.
Film gives a group a shared story to examine. A scene can make a motivation visible, expose a belief, or invite a different reading of a decision. Guided discussion makes room to move from watching to questioning.
Our work is intended for educational and community settings. Each partnership begins with a conversation about the people involved and the purpose of the program.

FILMMAKER · AUTHOR · NARRATIVE EDUCATORBryson McCalley is the founder of LAST OF A DYNG SEED LLC. He brings creative practice and lived experience to conversations about identity, accountability, decision-making, and change.
After spending 15 years incarcerated, he built a body of work around how personal and cultural stories influence the choices people make. His books, interviews, and film work approach these questions from different directions.
His facilitation experience includes Youth Champions, with film-based discussions connecting leadership, character choices, and reflection. He also visited Jack London Continuation High School & CDS on February 24, 2025, to discuss his life and Pearls of IZM.
